WRITING PROJECT: HAUNT
Haunt is the working title of my current manuscript, the first book in a trilogy which has been ten years in the making. The story draws on elements from different genres—especially Fantasy, Horror, and Steampunk—so it is classified as Speculative Fiction. Though the trilogy will be geared toward a Middle Grade audience, I hope that readers of all ages will find themes that speak to them. Maineside Manor towers at the dead end of a quiet street. An iron gate bars entry onto the weed-ridden grounds, keeping the secrets within a mystery to all but the reckless few who dare to trespass. Should you cross the rotting threshold, tip-toe through the hallways with peeling wallpaper, and cause the staircases to groan under your feet—beware—for monsters dwell here.
